The Mets got down early but made a nice effort trying to come back, but just couldn't do it and ended up falling to the Tigers 6-5 (box score/wrap).
The only thing I'm going to say about last night's game is that David Wright had the bases loaded with one out in the 7th, against a lefty and struck out. It was a huge at bat and it really sealed the game for the Tigers when Wright and Davis went down in order to end the inning...
But the Mets did win the series and that's the goal, right? It's just hard to see a game slip away especially when it would have put the team in first place...
Tonight Mike Pelfrey and the Mets welcome Kevin Slowey and the Twins to town. Should be fun...
Let's go Mets.
