Pavano Awesome as Twins Silence Mets 6-0

Yesterday, the Mets lost their first game of the season with me in attendance 6-0 to the Twins (box score).

The story of the game is simple.  Pavano was great, and Santana was not.  Johan got lit up for 4 runs in the first, while Pavano only allowed three hits all game.  Two of those hits were surrendered to Francoeur who reach on a bunt single and a single to right.

It was a tough game to watch as a Mets fan because Pavano looked like Cy Young out there today, throwing nothing but strikes, and erasing any baserunners that reached with double plays almost immediately.

The Mets look to take the rubber-game of the series today at 1:10 when Niese heads to the mound to face Scott Baker...

Let's Go Mets.
