Tonight Jon Niese pitches in front of family and friends in Cleveland, as the Mets face the Indians tonight at 7:05. You can catch his feelings on Metsblog.com, here.
Here's the Mets line up for tonight, compliments of Adam Rubin on twitter:
Reyes-SS
Pagan-CF
Wright-3B
Davis-1B
Bay-LF
Carter-DH
Barajas-C
Francoeur-RF
Tejada-2B
Tejada is back in the line up, which I like, along with Jerry keeping Carter in there. Hopefully Carter will hit a bit more tonight, and can lock himself up for another start tomorrow, and potentially the Yankee series...
Carter certainly owes the Yankees a bit of payback for them claiming him on waivers and ultimately blocking his trade to the Mets last year. That ended up being important because it took away what would have been some valuable playing time on the major league level with the Mets for Carter last season. Nothing would be sweeter than seeing Carter get a chance to get a little revenge on the Yankees...
