Despite Jose Reyes having a fantastic game, and Derek Jeter not playing, the Mets fell to the Yankees 5-3 yesterday (box score/wrap).
But today is a different day...
So the Mets send Santana to the mound to face Sabathia. Here's the line up courtesy of Kevin Burkhardt on twitter:
Reyes-SS
Pagan-CF
Wright-3B
Davis-1B
Bay-LF
Barajas-C
Tatis-DH
Francoeur-RF
Tejada-2B
This is the line up you more-or-less had to expect. Carter wasn't going to face a lefty and Tatis hadn't played in a while. Also, with Cora playing yesterday and Sabathia going tonight, you had to expect to see Tejada in there today. Regardless, the Mets need to rebound today with a "W" because it's just as easy to go on a winning streak, as it is to go on a losing streak. Either way...
Let's go Mets.
