Yesterday afternoon Roy Halladay took control, and eventually the Philly offense broke through in a big way as the Mets and Mike Pelfrey fell 10-0 to the Phillies at Citizens Bank Park (box score).
This is the only game in the series most fans, including myself, felt the Mets didn't have the pitching advantage, and it showed. Halladay was very good, throwing a complete game shutout, while Pelfrey looked good through three, and then fell apart.
Regardless the Mets are still in position to win this series, and at the end of the day, that's what matters. I'm not saying yesterday's game doesn't matter, but what I am saying is the Mets should take it and learn from it, but not harp on it. Halladay was good, Pelfrey wasn't and the team didn't hit...But that was yesterday...
Tonight the Mets send Santana to the hill against Jamie Moyer, time to start a new streak...
