Mets Announce Opening Day Line-Up: It Has POWER?

Here is the Mets opening day roster, according to Michael Baron of Metsblog

Alex Cora SS
Luis Castillo 2B
David Wright 3B
Mike Jacobs 1B
Jason Bay, LF
Gary Matthews Jr. CF
Jeff Francoeur LF
Rod Barajas C
Johan Santana P

Interesting to look at exactly how this line-up shook down after the spring, specifically involving the center field position.  I guess, outside of Mejia (who is a circumstance all his own), this is the only positional battle that ACTUALLY went to the person who played better.  As much as I hate to admit this, GMJ did outplay Pagan this spring.  Neither were particularly stellar in the outfield this spring, but GMJ hit more, and with more power.  I think that's why the line-up shook down the way it is.

Outside of Cora, Castillo and Santana, the rest of the line-up is completely capable of hitting a homer at any time.  I guess the Mets are going to hit more homers this year, if for no reason other than they have more personel able to do that.  Somehow, if you throw Reyes in this line-up it looks pretty scary.  This line-up is not a murderer's row or anything but from 3-8 you have guys capable of hitting 20 homers each, and once you add Reyes that line-up might be a little scarier than people originally thought.  Getting on base can be another issue altogether, but...there IS POP HERE.
